At South Derbyshire Citizens Advice Bureau we
offer free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and information
on a wide range of subjects.
We can work with you to sort out any debt worries
and claim all the benefits you may be entitled to.
We can advise on legal matters, answer questions
about immigration, and we have lots of experience on family and personal
matters too.
We offer tribunal representation for welfare
rights and specialist multi-debt casework.
We speak up for change in social policies; from
our clients experience we can see where services and policies are failing.
We are a member of Citizens Advice, which
provides the extensive information system we use to advise clients and
sets standards for advice, training, equal opportunities and accessibility
in the bureau

Get
Advice
You can see or telephone an Adviser at our
offices or at your local GP Surgery.
We have a caseworker funded by Macmillan Cancer
Care who can provide advice to cancer patients and their carers /
partners. To make an appointment ask your GP or Health Professional
for a referral, contact the Macmillan Benefits Helpline on 01246 828852,
or contact us directly.
Volunteer for Us
We could not provide the service we do if it were not for our dedicated team of volunteers. If you have at least 5 hours you can spare each week and would like to join our team please see our volunteer pages.

The Cold Weather Plan for England will be issued on 1 November 2011 by the Department of Health and NHS. The Plan provides advice for individuals, communities and agencies on how to prepare for and respond to severe cold weather as part of wider winter planning and announces the ‘Warm Homes, Healthy People’ fund.
